Halloween Getaways 2021.

Halloween can be the perfect time for you and your family to luxuriate in themed attractions
and visit some spooky and captivating sights. Ranging from some of the most haunted attractions in the UK, to fun events for younger kids, there is something suitable for people of all ages. With October half-term approaching it’s wise to book any events or parks quickly as they are soon to be fully booked.

One fascinating city to visit during this season is York, known as the city of a ‘thousand ghosts’ there are a plethora of sights and events ,which would likely take several trips to fully experience, one unmissable landmark is the York Dungeons, arguably the most renowned and enchanting destination in the city, this thrilling spot utilises live actors to relive York’s dark history, as well as reanimating the cities more infamous and iconic figures such as highwayman Dick Turpin, and Guy Fawkes. York is also home to some of the most haunted villages and streets in Europe, you can find various terror trails throughout the autumn months.

Stratford-Upon-Avon is famous for the country’s most popular ghost tours. After dark, you can explore England’s most haunted buildings. The Tudor World ghost tour allows you to venture through the exhibits by lantern light, where a guide will affirm the sighting of paranormal activity within each room, you will also have the opportunity to learn about the history of Stratford-Upon-Avon, and also some of the local ghastly tales. Alternatively, for a different thrilling adventure, you can participate in the Jack the Ripper halloween tour, immerse yourself in London’s East End, where you can visit Canonical Five murder sites, examine photos from Victorian London, learn about the primary jack the ripper suspects, and much more.

For those with young children, seeking a getaway the whole family can enjoy, look no further than the English Heritage Halloween sites, this Halloween there are events located all across the country, you can witness adventure quests inspired by Cressida Cowell’s bestselling series, The Wizards of Once, and in the evening join in with  family-friendly spooky woodland walks, which covers locations such as the Belsay hall, and Walmer Gardens. This half-term you can also attend the Dark Arts, Warner Brothers Studio Tour, London. In the great hall you will be greeted by 100 floating pumpkins, as seen in Harry
Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. You and your family are also able to observe a variety of scenes and exhibitions based on the Harry Potter franchise. The studio is just 30 minutes away from the Theobalds Park Camping and Caravanning Club Site.
